A Beast To Be Tamed

from demos, trash, etc... by Silver Spoons

/

about

A Beast to be Tamed came out of a few basement sessions spoons sat in on with the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin garage scene veterans Post-Mortem Mailwomen back in 2008. The track was shelved for half a decade before it was rediscovered and the band decided its chimey space grooves would make a great entrance to their second and, as fate would have it, tragically final e.p. Re-Mixed by Alex Offsen, semi-legendary producer of several Destiny Drug Cave lp's in the early 90s, in his loft in suburban Oakland, this choice cut of boogie meat breathed new life and felt ready to take on the middle half of the second decade of the 21st century.

lyrics

Settle down
Lighten up
Pin it down
String it up
They say it's a beast to be tamed

How can I
Its strong they say
Take it slow
Day by day
And soon
It will all
Pass away
